Break barriers.
Build opportunity.
Every scene starts with people showing up for each other. UNDERPASS connects local music and arts communities across Aotearoa through real relationships between artists, venues, promoters and fans.
Stronger scenes, together.
We want independent music to be easier to discover and easier to take part in. UNDERPASS is building a network where local knowledge helps artists reach new audiences, venues find the people who fit their rooms, and fans find their next night out.
- 01We verify venues.
Venues are the foundations of local scenes. Verifying them helps people know who is behind a room and makes the network more trustworthy.
- 02Venues verify artists through real bookings.
Once an artist is verified on UNDERPASS, a venue can book them in one click.
New artists can still be booked, but the venue does its due diligence first: review the artist’s profile and links, then contact them using the details provided or arrange a call.
After the artist completes the booking and performs, the venue confirms the show. The artist becomes verified for future bookings.
This builds trust with audiences and the wider community without putting too many barriers in the way for new artists.
- 03Trusted connections help the scene grow.
Each completed booking builds a useful record. Artists can grow their reach, while venues can discover and book artists with more confidence across towns and regions.
Creative work deserves credit.
UNDERPASS supports photographers, videographers, graphic designers and visual artists by showcasing original work, crediting its creators and linking people back to their platforms. The work belongs to the people who make it.
We stand against artwork made with generative AI. This scene is built by people; its artwork should be too.
